Autoimmune Urticaria

In autoimmune urticaria, the immune system mistakenly produces antibodies that set off histamine release from skin cells, leading to persistent hives. It's one of several possible explanations behind chronic urticaria. Pinpointing this cause can steer doctors toward more targeted treatment.
