Psoriatic Plaque

A psoriatic plaque is the thickened, raised patch of red skin covered in silvery scale that gives plaque psoriasis its name. Plaques can range from coin-sized to much larger and tend to favour the elbows, knees, and scalp. Spotting one is often the first visual clue that leads to a diagnosis.
