Scalp psoriasis shows up as patches on the scalp that can extend onto the forehead or behind the ears, bringing flaking, itching, and sometimes temporary thinning of the hair. It's one of the trickier areas to treat because hair can get in the way of applying creams. Special shampoos and scalp-formulated treatments are often used here.
