Topical Corticosteroid

A topical corticosteroid is a cream or ointment applied straight onto psoriasis patches to calm inflammation, redness, and itching. It's usually the first thing doctors reach for, especially for milder or more localised disease. Strength and formulation vary quite a bit depending on where on the body it's being used.
